Qualifications
Dennis holds a Bachelor of Laws from Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand. He was admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand in 2000 prior to his admission as an Advocate of the High Court in Sabah and Sarawak in 2001. He has been a partner of our firm since 2007. He then furthered his studies in the area of Taxation Studies in 2017 and obtained his Master of Taxation Studies from the University of Auckland, New Zealand.
Areas Of Practice
Dennis has extensive practice experience in the area of real estate development (residential, commercial and mixed-use), joint ventures, conveyancing matters, government land acquisition, corporate and commercial matters, due diligence exercises, trust matters and various banking finances that range from project/bridging financing to corporate and retail.
Dennis also handles will writing and administration of deceased’s estates ranging from straightforward estates to those that span up to three generations, including those involving family disputes. Faced with such situations, Dennis advocates and strives for alternative dispute resolution that generally culminates in settlement and/or amicable family arrangements.
Interests
Dennis enjoys practising law. Due to his extensive exposure as mentioned earlier, he regularly engages with the State authorities on advisory work relating to Sabahan land law, planning law and local authorities.
