Will Drafting
Shelley Yap’s experience in wills and probates includes drafting wills of varying complexities to best suit the wishes of our clients. We take great care to understand the needs and concerns of our clients in the handling of their estate and provide legal advice on the appointment of executors/executrixes, naming of beneficiaries, asset distribution and trust management, to name a few.
In addition to the drafting of wills, our firm also provides witnesses to the signing of the wills and services for safekeeping of wills.
Administration of Estates
Our firm also assists clients to apply for Grants of Probate and/or Letters of Administration from the Court and the subsequent distribution of assets in accordance to the Probate and Administration Ordinance (Cap.109), Intestate Succession Ordinance 1960 and the Wills Ordinance (Cap.158). We are able to assist our clients in this area regardless of whether a particular will was drafted by our firm.
We also handle estate matters which involve assets in multiple jurisdictions including attending to the re-sealing of Grants of Probate and/or Letters of Administration.
Our firm is also able to handle disputes concerning wills and probates and has experience in contentious estate matters in courts.
